Bio
Dr. Ewan Goligher trained in medicine at the University of British Columbia and completed postgraduate residency training in internal medicine and critical care medicine at the University of Toronto. He holds a PhD in applied respiratory physiology from the University of Toronto. His CIHR-funded research program studies the mechanisms and impact of lung and diaphragm atrophy injury during acute mechanical ventilation, with the goal of developing and testing new strategies to improve outcomes in acute respiratory failure. He also works on novel clinical trial designs and co-led the ATTACC/ACTIV-4a/REMAP-CAP multi-platform Bayesian adaptive randomized trial of therapeutic anticoagulation in Covid-19.
