Bio

Emma Davenport is a Group Leader at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, Cambridge, UK. Her group focuses on how genetics contributes to patient-to-patient variation in disease severity and response to treatment. In particular, they use gene expression data to identify subgroup specific signatures and to map expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs) and their interactions. The Davenport Group have experience of applying these approaches in the context of sepsis to get a better understanding of the transcriptomic heterogeneity underlying the condition.
