Bio
Anna Heath is a Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. She leads the Innovative Methods in Paediatric Clinical Trials (IMPaCT) lab at the Hospital. Her research focuses on developing statistical innovations for clinical trial prioritisation and design, particularly focusing on Bayesian methods and decision analysis. Her PhD in Statistical Science substantially reduced the computational complexity of research design methods known as Value of Information analyses. Since then, she has worked on a range of paediatric and adult clinical trials across a range of disease areas to improve their design and efficiency. She currently leads the statistical analysis committee for the PRACTICAL (Platform of Randomized Adaptive Clinical Trials in Critical Illness) trial.
